Plot:
"The Passionate Plumber" revolves around the character of Elmer Tuttle, played by Buster Keaton, who is a clumsy and good-natured plumber. Elmer is also known for his expertise in fixing pipes and drains and is highly sought after in his profession.
The film's plot takes a comedic turn when Elmer mistakenly gets involved in a mix-up at the mansion of a wealthy family. He is mistakenly identified as a psychiatrist and hired to cure a spoiled and neurotic heiress named Patricia Alden (played by Jimmy Durante). Patricia's father, Mr. Alden (played by William Burress), is desperate to see his daughter cured of her psychological issues before her impending wedding.
