The story revolves around a rock singer named Rusty Wells, played by Elvis Presley, and his band. Rusty and his bandmates are hired by a Chicago mobster named Big Frank to go to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, during spring break to keep an eye on his daughter, Valerie, portrayed by Shelley Fabares. Big Frank is worried that Valerie will get into trouble during her vacation, so he assigns Rusty and his band the task of ensuring she stays out of trouble.
