A vintage movie poster reproduction of ''Calamity Jane,'' a 1953 musical film directed by David Butler, starring Doris Day in the titular role alongside Howard Keel as the legendary Wild Bill Hickok. The movie presents a fictionalized account of Calamity Jane's adventures in the rough-and-tumble town of Deadwood, South Dakota.
The story revolves around Calamity Jane, a spirited and tomboyish stagecoach driver and scout known for her sharpshooting skills and fearless demeanor. When she boasts that she can bring back the famous stage actress Adelaide Adams to perform in Deadwood's saloon, she sets off on a journey to Chicago to fulfill her promise. However, Calamity's plans go awry, and she mistakenly brings back Adelaide's maid, Katie Brown, played by Allyn Ann McLerie.
As Calamity tries to cover up her mistake, she finds herself drawn to Katie and begins to develop feelings for her. Meanwhile, tensions rise in Deadwood as the townspeople eagerly await Adelaide's arrival....
