Base painting of the vintage movie poster for ''New Lives for Old'', 1925, with Betty Compson.

As practically all those original paintings have been lost, a recreation attempts to display the original art before the movie studios added descriptive text. About the artist:
Gösta Åberg (Sept. 6, 1905, Stockholm - April 9, 1981) was a Swedish painter, cartoonist, sculptor, and advertising artist. Between 1925 and 1965, Åberg designed posters for thousands of films, which are now part of the Film History collections at the Technical Museum in Stockholm.
